Orbx, in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, is excited to reveal Jurassic World: Archipelago, an upcoming add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, inspired by the Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment films

Currently in development by Orbx, this expansion brings Jurassic World into Microsoft Flight Simulator by recreating the iconic islands from the films in accurate detail. Pilots will have the freedom to explore Isla Nublar, Isla Sorna, and the surrounding Muertes Archipelago islands, located off the west coast of Costa Rica. They will navigate lush terrain, land at challenging airstrips, spot prehistoric creatures, and discover iconic structures around the Jurassic World theme park.

Built with the attention to detail that Orbx is known for, Jurassic World: Archipelago makes it possible to discover the islands’ unpredictable terrain, explore hidden nooks, and even catch glimpses of dinosaurs roaming free.

The product will launch first for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PC via OrbxDirect, with versions for Xbox, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, and X-Plane to follow.

Inspired by the Jurassic World films; features include:

• Highly detailed islands: Isla Nublar, Isla Sorna, and more

• Custom airfields and helipads

• Animated land, water, dinosaurs and flying reptiles

• Themed aircraft liveries and unique flight activities integrated into gameplay

“As lifelong fans of the franchise, bringing Jurassic World’s awe-inspiring environments to the flight simulator has been a thrill for the Orbx team,” said Anna Cicognani, CEO at Orbx. “Every moment you spend exploring feels like stepping right into the adventure: it’s daring, it’s immersive, it’s your own blockbuster. “We’re grateful to Universal Products & Experiences for collaborating with us to bring these iconic landscapes with a fresh sense of wonder and discovery to the game.”

More details will be revealed in the lead-up to launch, with teasers and previews set to roll out across Orbx’s channels.
