ZIPAIR Tokyo has announced it will increase frequency on its route between San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) with the addition of a sixth weekly flight from June 1 through Sept. 30, 2024.
“Since ZIPAIR made San José its first Northern California gateway in 2022, its combination of reliable service and great fares have been extremely popular among Silicon Valley travelers,” said SJC Director of Aviation John Aitken. “We’re delighted to expand our partnership with this unique carrier.”
With this added frequency, ZIPAIR will now connect San José with Japan’s capital region and one of the biggest markets in Asia every day except Tuesdays through the busy summer travel season.
“We are thrilled to announce the increase in service from San José Mineta International Airport, offering customers non-stop access to Japan, while opening more opportunities to travel between the two countries,” said ZIPAIR President, Shingo Nishida. “This year marks the first time the two nations celebrate the U.S.-Japan Tourism Year, which seeks to strengthen ties, boosting the economy, as well as exchanging culture. We sincerely look forward to welcoming even more travelers to experience our unique low-cost business model on the next trip to Asia.”
ZIPAIR Tokyo, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan Airlines (JAL), offers passengers a fully customizable travel experience. The airline operates a modern fleet of Boeing 787 aircraft, with 18 full-flat seats and 272 standard seats. All passengers enjoy complimentary inflight Wi-Fi, as well as inflight food, beverages and shopping available for purchase through a unique, contactless mobile ordering system.
Flight schedules are subject to relevant government approvals. Flight times, fares and reservations for the new flights are now available at zipair.net.
