Since its inception in 1988, Kaunas Airport has grown to become the second busiest civil airport in Lithuania and the fourth busiest in the Baltic states, accommodating 1.3 million passengers in 2022. A significant terminal expansion slated for early 2024 will double its passenger capacity to 2 million per year. The airport boasts a 3,250m by 45m runway with a 4E ICAO reference code, capable of handling large aircraft like the Boeing 747, and is equipped with CAT II ILS for operations in low-visibility conditions.

Located just 14 km from Kaunas city center and 100 km west of Vilnius, Kaunas Airport serves as a crucial hub for Low-Cost Carriers, Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul services, as well as cargo operations. With 20 aircraft stands and a theoretical average runway capacity of 12 landings or takeoffs per hour, it is strategically positioned at the heart of Lithuania, enhancing regional connectivity and accessibility. Experience the intricacies of this pivotal Baltic aviation hub through the SIMMARKET simInstaller technology, ensuring a seamless and immersive addition to your flight simulator experience.
