Sky Blue Radio ("we", "us", "our") is a non-profit, volunteer-run internet radio station for the flight simulation and aviation community. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use skyblueradio.com, why we collect it, and your rights over it.

Information we collect
- Information you give us — when you use our contact form, apply for an open role, send a message in our live chat (your chosen display name and messages), or are set up with a DJ or advertiser account (name, email, company and account credentials).
- Information collected automatically — if you consent to analytics cookies, we record page views, the pages you visit, your approximate location and device type (derived from your IP address and browser), your browser and operating system, and the site that referred you. We do not run this tracking unless you accept it via our cookie banner.
- Advertising data — for advertiser accounts, we record campaign performance such as banner impressions and clicks.
How we use your information
- To operate the station and website and stream our broadcast to you.
- To respond to your enquiries and process role applications.
- To run our live listener chat and on-air features.
- To manage advertising bookings and report campaign performance to advertisers.
- To understand and improve how the site is used (only with your consent).
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only where necessary to run the service, including with:
- Radio.co, which powers our audio stream and "now playing" data.
- VATSIM, whose public event listings we display (we read their data; we do not send them yours).
- Hosting and infrastructure providers acting on our behalf, and where required by law.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: enquiries and applications while we deal with them and for a reasonable period after; account data for the life of the account; and analytics in aggregate. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
Your rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email info@skyblueradio.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is general-audience. Some volunteer roles have minimum ages (stated on the Open Roles page). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Security
Account passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing, connections should be served over HTTPS, and access to back-end tools is restricted. No method of transmission is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
