A 19-year-old’s attempt to fly into the record books will start today (Wednesday) in San Diego. Matt Guthmiller will take off from Gillespie Field and try to become the youngest person to fly solo around the world. He estimates it will take him about 40 days with 20 stops on 5 continents. The current record is held by a 21-year-old. Guthmiller will post updates on his Facebook page.
