ToLiss Updates A340 to V1.2

Written by on January 10, 2022

Renown aircraft developer ToLiss has recently updated their relatively new A340-600 addon for X-Plane 11 to V1.2. The update brings about many new minor features, as well as a myriad of bug fixes.

Amongst the many improvements, the most notable include a new battery self test system, ISCS sliders now allow editing the values with keyboard, custom landing gear particle model, and an added flap animation and nose landing gear animation to taxi cam. Just to name a few. (See full changelog at the end of the article)

ToLiss’s A340 is their third addon for X-Plane 11 and the company have amassed a great reputation from the community as a quality designer.

The ToLiss A340-600 can be purchased from the store for approximately €77.45 here.

The A340-600 first flew on the 23rd of April 2001, and began service with Virgin Atlantic in 2002. The wide-body long haul aircraft is capable of carrying up to 379 passengers and can serve routes up to nearly 14,000km long. Unfortunately the A340 family as a whole has seen less service in the modern era due to competing aircraft like the 787 dreamliner and Airbus’s own A350 which are both a lot more efficient, seeing less practical use of the A340 family.

Minor new features:

Electrical system now features battery self testISCS sliders now allow editing the values with keyboard for better precisionCustom landing gear particle modelCustom landing gear tire rotation model to allow individual speeds for the forward and aft wheels on the same bogeyFault injections can now trigger on increasing or on decreasing values of altitude and air speedAdded flap animation and nose landing gear animation to taxi camAdded CVR self testAdded chocks to keep aircraft in place at the gateReworked cockpit, ground contact and engine soundsAdded animated hydraulic lines to landing gearAdded animated RAT
