The very next chapter is what they describe as the first major update since 1.1, released on February 24, 2026. The focus here is refinement: tightening the overall experience, adding finishing touches, and leaning hard into integration and usability improvements.

In particular, the team says the patch prioritizes:

• Broader integration with third-party and external software and hardware

• VR experience optimization

• Continued rounding-out of systems, artwork, and sounds
  All with “pilot experience” as the main theme.

They also offer a simple challenge to lapsed owners: if you have not flown it recently, bring it out of the hangar and try what they’re calling the definitive edition of the MD-11.

What happens next: marketplace, console, and platform support

The announcement also lays out what to expect going forward:

PC Marketplace: They say they are exporting and sending packages to Microsoft for review, and timing depends primarily on Microsoft’s side of the process.

Xbox: With “active development concluded,” they plan to begin converting assets for Xbox, while avoiding promises on timing.

P3D: They note many fixes from this update were applied to Prepar3D as well, but also state that new sales were stopped when 1.1 released and there will be no future effort for the P3D version.
