Southwest building new Denver maintenance hangar

Written by on May 19, 2019

Southwest Airlines plans to begin constructing its first maintenance hangar at the Denver International Airport this summer. According to a representative for the airline, the decision to add a new hangar in Denver was based on its flight activity in the city and the carrier’s “aggressive plans for the future” to continue supporting its network within the western half of the U.S. Southwest says it carries more local travelers to and from Denver than any other carrier. Lindsay Bjerregaard/MRO Journal AP/Colorado Springs Gazette
