RDPresets took to their Facebook page to announce the release of their Gibraltar Airport (LXGB) rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This rendition becomes the fifth scenery release of the renowned developer for the simulator.
The developer vows that the product is an accurate and high-quality recreation of Gibraltar Airport. The scenery features custom 3D buildings covered by PBR textures. In addition, RDPresets included detailed ground textures that mimic asphalt differences.
Furthermore, both the terminal building and the control tower feature a fully modelled interior.
Other notable additions include the animated car crossing, the reworked Rock of Gibraltar and the cable car system.
Watch the trailer by Aviation Lads to see the scenery in full action!
Gibraltar Airport by RDPresets is available on the RDPresets Store for €19.99. To learn about RDPresets’ previous project, read George’s article on their Bergen rendition.
Gibraltar International Airport (LXGB) is the only airport serving the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. In 2019, almost 500 thousand passengers visited the airport. The airport is known for its notoriously challenging approach due to the gusty conditions and short runway. Gibraltar Airport is also known to be one of the only airports with a road crossing on a runway.
