PMDG Releases 737-600 for MSFS
Written by on July 29, 2022
Despite a small delay, we are now officially able to enjoy a new high-fidelity aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the PMDG 737-600. The aircraft comes with a plethora of modern features for a very decent price of only $34.99.
Not only has PMDG customized the ground handling set accordingly to the smaller airframe, but it should also behave differently from the other variants in the air during your flights. Along with that, PMDG has included a new lateral flight path model that is also soon coming to the 737-700.
On top of that, the addon promises an accurate sound environment, assumably a bit different from the previously released 737-700 variant. Based on the feature list, it also comes with a sophisticated logical simulation of onboard information systems and aircraft management, though no EFB.
Onboard the flight deck, you will find advanced animations leveraging the new MSFS engine to truly bring the 737 flight deck to life as well as ultra-high detailed textures as a cherry on top.
It is important to note, however, that the 737-600 only comes with the passenger variant. This is not the same case as it was with the 737-700, which came with passenger, cargo, and business variants.
You can get the PMDG 737-600 for MSFS through the official store of PMDG for a very decent price of $34.99. There are no discounts for previous owners of the 737 for Prepar3D nor the 737-700 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
For those unfamiliar with the aircraft type, the 737-600 is the shortest and smallest of all Next Generation lineup. With a one-class configuration, it can carry only up to 130 passengers. It has however the longest range of the lineup – over 3,200 nautical miles; roughly 300 more nautical miles than the 737-800 can fly.
PMDG did not yet update us on the 737-800, so we have to work with previously announced information suggesting released around mid-august.
