By the end of the last week, publisher Orbx released a brand new military aircraft, developed by Miltech Simulations, the MV-22B Osprey for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The MV-22B Osprey is a tiltrotor aircraft designed to perform multiple missions and meet all combat operational requirements. The primary use of this aircraft is to transport heavily equipped troops or external cargo weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

The most appealing features are the VTOL and STOL flight dynamics, which aren’t so common among these types of aircraft. With that also comes the aerodynamic simulation of a stall condition that results in an uncontrollable descent of the aircraft, also known as a “Vortex ring state”. In addition to that, the accurate gearing system simulation, responsible for connecting both propellers, is also present, allowing for single-engine operations.

We can’t forget to mention some of its features, which make this aircraft addon so special. By that, we mean features such as the realistic operations of engine nacelles, accurate simulation of auto-hover capabilities, including auto-flaps, and the custom autopilot.

Thanks to cooperation with talented developer Maryadi, you can now experience the most accurate representation of this aircraft ever created. With that in mind, features such as external and interior models, based on the aircraft flight manual and references, are present, including Osprey’s iconic blade tip lights.

Experience the military mood of this addon, by buying it at Orbx’s website for 33€ without VAT.
