Laminar Research has rolled out the latest hotfix for its X-Plane flight simulator, version 12.3.3, to address critical issues identified in the recent release cycle. This update is now available for all users and does not require participation in a beta branch.
The primary focus of the 12.3.3 hotfix is to resolve compatibility problems with the newest NVIDIA graphics driver (version 591.44) that were causing crashes and instability for some users. In addition, a bug affecting the instancing of objects via the X-Plane Software Development Kit has been corrected. The instancing issue was particularly noticeable with certain aircraft such as the Hot Start Challenger 650.
MacOS users are advised to update their installer to the latest version (5.2.1) as part of this hotfix to avoid specific installation errors. The update can be applied through the built-in X-Plane Installer by selecting “Update X-Plane” and ensuring the beta option is toggled correctly where applicable.
This hotfix continues Laminar’s ongoing maintenance efforts following the major 12.3.0 “Weather Update,” which introduced advanced weather radar systems and other enhancements earlier in the year.
