Just Flight has officially released version 2.4 of the 146 Professional, marking one of the first major regional airliner updates built with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in mind. The aircraft is now fully compatible with both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, and the update focuses heavily on performance improvements and new features unique to the 2024 platform.
One of the most notable additions is a fully interactive pre-flight walkaround, which is available exclusively in the MSFS 2024 version of the aircraft. This new inspection mode includes chocks, a ground power unit, access panels, passenger airstairs, cargo doors, and additional service options. These new elements give sim pilots a much more immersive and authentic ramp experience compared to earlier releases.
Performance has also been a major focus. The 2.4 update includes optimized levels of detail that help the aircraft run smoother without sacrificing visual fidelity. This is especially important for MSFS 2024 users, who will see the benefits of the improved engine and world rendering technology.
The 146 Professional remains a favorite among regional jet enthusiasts because of its unique design and detailed systems modeling. With the addition of 2024-native enhancements and operational features, this version stands out as one of the most complete regional aircraft experiences available in the new sim.
As developers begin reworking their aircraft for MSFS 2024, Just Flight’s update sets a strong example of what simmers should expect going forward: deeper immersion, better performance, and expanded ground operations. It will be worth watching which airliners receive similar treatment next.
