Hurricane Irma: Flights resuming in Florida; cancellations now at 16,700

Flights were set to begin flying Tuesday at nearly a dozen airports that halted operations ahead of Hurricane Irma. Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa were among the state’s major airfields that were expected to see at least some airline flights resume Tuesday.  At Miami, the state’s busiest airport, service resumed at 7:06 a.m. Tuesday with an arriving American Airlines flight from Seattle.
