FlightSimExpo confirms the 2024 convention will be held at Rio Las Vegas as scheduled on June 21-23, 2024. Event registration, hotel bookings, and travel discounts are available now.

LAS VEGAS – February 28, 2024 – Following a community-driven effort that involved multiple Las Vegas hotels, the Convention and Visitors’ Authority, and a survey of attendees, FlightSimExpo is proud to announce its fifth annual flight simulation convention will proceed as scheduled on June 21-23, 2024.

To celebrate this announcement, early registration pricing has been extended until April 1! This means attendees have an extra month to register before prices increase. Just $80 covers Friday-Sunday event access, a free drink and appetizers during the Friday Welcome Reception, online access to all live and recorded seminars, and much more. Full details are available at flightsimexpo.com/register.

2024 Venue: Rio Las Vegas

FlightSimExpo 2024 will be held at Rio Las Vegas. Long considered a Las Vegas icon, the Rio Hotel & Casino began a total transformation in October 2023. Since then, resort-wide improvements have included dynamic dining experiences, fully refreshed public spaces (including the pool), and a complete renovation of more than 1,400 rooms in the Ipanema Tower. Along with more than 10 full- and quick-service restaurants and a new food hall, there are four on-property shows including Penn & Teller, WOW – The Vegas Spectacular, Chippendales, and Comedy Cellar.

“As we reached out to properties across Las Vegas to accommodate our 50,000+ square foot exhibit hall, it was a member of the community who first put us in touch with Rio,” says event co-founder Evan Reiter. “It’s amazing to think that a post on a Las Vegas forum by one of our attendees led us to signing a venue agreement just 25 days later.”

FlightSimExpo attendees will enjoy a discounted rate on rooms at Rio when booking via the event’s dedicated room block, available at flightsimexpo.com/hotel. The 500+-square-foot rooms, all located in the renovated Ipanema Tower, feature new furnishings and fittings, sleeper sofas, free in-room WiFi for up to 5 devices, and more. The room rate for FlightSimExpo attendees is $149 on Friday and Saturday and $69 on other nights, plus tax and a discounted $29 resort fee—less than the original room block rate at Tropicana.

Each room booked at this discounted rate will include a $25 credit toward food and beverage. Additionally, those attendees holding a current reservation in the original block at Tropicana will receive a full refund along with a $25 rideshare voucher covering travel from the airport to Rio.

“With this incredible room rate and unique perks for FlightSimExpo attendees, we encourage you to book now,” says organizer Phil Coyle. “The rate is only available until May 29, or when the block fills, so finalize your travel plans as soon as possible.”
