A major new release has arrived for classic-jet enthusiasts and long-haul haulers: the Felis 747-200F Classic Cargo has officially launched for X-Plane 12. This dedicated freighter variant brings one of aviation’s most iconic widebodies into the modern simulator with new systems, a fully modeled cargo environment, and freighter-specific operations.

Features

The aircraft is built as a stand-alone freighter with a fully realized main cargo deck. The floor roller system, lighting, and structural details have all been recreated to reflect the look and workflow of a true 747-200 cargo environment.

Both the nose cargo door and side cargo door are operational, with controls accessible from multiple locations, including the cargo deck and the electronic flight bag. Cargo containers dynamically populate the aircraft based on loading zones, adding visual feedback to freight operations.

Upper-deck windows can be configured open or sealed depending on the operator’s layout. The cockpit includes updates specific to the cargo model, while retaining the deep systems modeling Felis is known for: GE CF6-50E2 engines, detailed electrical and hydraulic systems, custom autopilot and autothrottle logic, and a comprehensive fuel system.

High-detail PBR texturing takes advantage of X-Plane 12’s lighting and reflection engine. Multiple real-world cargo liveries are included, and a paint kit is available for custom repaints.

Requirements

This aircraft is built exclusively for X-Plane 12 on Windows, macOS, or Linux. The download is approximately 1.1 GB, and the initial release version is 1.0.0.
