Asobo Studio has recently taken to the Flight Simulator website to announce the release of a new Local Legend for the same simulator. Local Legends is an aeroplane series, published by Asobo Studio, that bring many legendary aircraft into the world of Flight Simulator. They have already released aircraft such as Cessna 195 in this series.
This new Local Legend is the DHC-4 Caribou by DeHavilland Canada. It is a twin-engine, short take-off and landing performance cargo aircraft. It was initially developed as a military cargo and troop carrier. It is based on the DHC-2 Beaver and DHC-3 Otter. However, the DHC-4 comes with a bigger cargo capacity.
Its first flight happened on July 30th, 1958 and was introduced into full service in 1961. DeHavilland built 307 of these in total.
This wonderful aeroplane is now available through Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace for €14.99. You can get it on Xbox, PC, Steam, and Cloud Gaming versions of the simulator. It comes with seven different liveries.
The Asobo Studio team has also shown the aeroplane in a YouTube trailer.
