Asobo previews new MSFS Flight Dynamics for SU8/9

Asobo once mentioned that Microsoft Flight Simulator was a 10-year project; and in the 2nd year of MSFS it looks as though the flight modelling is about to jump to a new level.
It’s no secret that many X-Plane fans have correctly called out that the ‘by the numbers’ approach of MSFS put it at a clear disadvantage when it comes to simulating the behaviour of airplanes through the air, however Sim Update 8 and Sim Update 9 are set to overhaul MSFS in a way that will approach the flow dynamics realism currently celebrated in X-Plane.
The recently-release video below demonstrates some of the key changes that Asobo has developed and shall be making available to third-party studios. While it is thought that our favourite add-ons may require a bit of time to adopt this new, exciting feature – it’s clear that a new era in realism is fast approaching for Microsoft’s massively-popular Flight Simulator.
…and you might just want to grab the default Cessa 152 and give it another go when Sim Update 8 arrives in March.
