The development team over at Aerosoft has recently released their new Skopje Airport (LWSK) rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The announcement of this release was made through the Aerosoft Facebook page and other social media.
Skopje Airport is an international airport in Skopje, North Macedonia. The airport was built in 1928 and the first commercial flights were introduced in 1929 when Yugoslav carrier Aeroput introduced a city link to Belgrade. The airport was renamed in 2006 to Skopje Alexander The Great Airport. In 2011, the terminal went through a significant reconstruction.
Some of the destinations available to fly from Skopje for aviation enthusiasts to enjoy are for example Athens, Hurghada, Vienna, Cologne, Basel and even Istanbul. The busiest of these mentioned is the route to Istanbul Havalimani, with over 13.1 total market share of the airport in 2022.
The team has recreated a detailed scenery of this airport, offering a number of modern features. There is an accurate runway profile and terrain, custom, animated jetways, animated passengers in the terminal, as well as PBR texturing that can be found everywhere. Furthermore, Aerosoft has recreated this scenery using an up-to-date taxiway and runway layout.
