A Very Special VFR Sunday

with Sky Blue Radio and World Flight 2014

VFR Sundays at Sky Blue Radio continues this Sunday, November 2nd, but the Sky Blue crew will be diverting their regularly scheduled flight to join World Flight 2014.  The scheduled flight was to depart Kaliningrad Khrabrovo Airport (UMKK) and arrive in Gdansk, Poland (EPGD). However, Sky Blue Radio has decided to change the flight plan and wants their listeners to join in as they shadow leg 1405 of World Flight 2014.

 

World Flight is an annual simulated round the world flight, using full sized simulators and relief crews to fly a circumnavigation of the globe  Ten teams in ten different countries participate in this the the largest charity event in the flight sim community. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised by these teams for their various charities. “We have supported World Flight in the past and will continue to support World Flight in anyway we can.”, said Station Manager Jeff “JT” Turner. He also added, “World Flight is a wonderful way that flight simulation can give back to the community and that is something we can all support, Sky Blue Radio is all about community and we, as always, support the flight simulation community.”

 

This Sunday, Sky Blue Radio will join World Flight 2014 1405 leg, Nagasaki to Sappora Japan (http://www.worldflight.com.au/booking/schedule14.php). Anyone who wishes to participate is welcome to join the Sky Blue Radio VFR Sunday crew as they fly this leg.  The flight departs Nagasaki at 1530 Zulu and Sky Blue Radio welcomes all pilots to join. If you can’t join the flight just tune in Sky Blue Radio at skyblueradio.com and follow the progress. The quick coms will be jumping as fellow Sky Blue Radio listeners and DJ’s chat about World Flight 2014 and spin some great music!
