Analysts disagree over Airbus A380′s fate after reported plans for phase-out

Airbus is reportedly drafting plans to wind down its A380, leaving two aerospace analysts divided about whether the superjumbo jet can survive – and how. Reuters reported Airbus is “drawing up contingency plans to phase out production” of the world’s largest jetliner if it fails to win a key order from Dubai’s Emirates airline. Reuters cited three unidentified “people familiar with the matter,” without saying if they were employees of Airbus, suppliers or Emirates. Puget Sound Business Journal
